This year Battle Creek Golf Club is hosting six golf tournaments for players with a USGA handicap. The events will be played on Saturday mornings beginning in May and ending in September. All events will be flighted by handicap with the option of a gross flight. Any player with a USGA established handicap can participate. Four of the six events will be individual play and the other two will be two man team events. Players will accumulate points during the season that will determine the player of the year both gross and net. Players can sign up for each event by calling or stopping by the golf shop. Come out and battle with your fellow players for the title of best golfer at Battle Creek.
Tournament Series Schedule
May 22nd - Individual Quota, this event will seed players in the individual match play tournament that will begin following this event.
June 12th - 2 man best ball, 80% of each players full handicap will be used. Teams can declare to play in the gross division.
July 17th - Individual Modified Stableford.
August 21st & 22nd - Battle Creek Club Championship, individual 36 hole stroke play event.
September 18th - 2 man 6-6-6 format, teams can declare to play in the gross division. 6 holes best ball, 6 holes shamble, 6 holes chapman format.
Senior MGA Event Calendar
Senior MGA events will be held on Tues. mornings with shotgun starts. You must be a member of the Senior MGA to play. You can join the senior MGA by stopping by the pro shop and signing up. Dues are $45 and that includes your GHIN Handicap for the 2010 season.
